Morning Grounding: A Meditation That Formed Itself Over Time

Morning Grounding: A Meditation That Formed Itself Over Time

I’ve been meditating almost every day for close to a decade now. And somewhere along the way, a quiet little process started unfolding on its own — no script, no intention. Just something my mind and body naturally settled into each morning.

It always begins with returning to the body.
Noticing contact.
Letting the spine align.
Just being for a moment, without rushing into thought.

From there, it becomes simple breath awareness. Nothing fancy. Just the rhythm of in and out.
And somewhere in that space — as tasks and thoughts start to appear — things begin to settle.
I don’t try to push them away. I just watch. And when I return to my breath, the day ahead often reorganizes itself.

This wasn’t something I planned or studied — it’s simply what my morning practice became. And recently, I decided to record it.

It’s a short track — 8 minutes and 30 seconds — now available on Insight Timer.
It starts with a gentle body scan, then invites you into breath awareness.
It’s designed for those of us who live full, busy lives — and want to begin the day a little more clear, a little more grounded.

If that sounds like something you could use, I invite you to try it.

You can find it on Insight Timer here — or just search for Morning Reset: Body & Breath Awareness for a Grounded Start.

Hope it helps you as much as it helps me.
